Glock 43x Mos Release Date - If you need a scope for your Glock 43X, I'm here to help. The Modular Optics System, or MOS, version of the G43X has a factory-cut slide that only accepts micro-footprint-sized optics that use the RMSc type. Not all red dots (RDS) match.
Originally popularized by the Smith & Wesson Shield series, the RMSc imprint is now used on a variety of rifles, including the SIG SAUER P365 series and Springfield Armory Hellcat optics. Targets are bulkier than a standard bullet point and are necessary for slim guns like the G43X.
Glock 43x Mos Release Date
I have thoroughly researched the use of reflex sights on handguns and tested more than a few options on the market. To help you decide which red dot might best suit your needs, I present my list of Glock 43X optics.

This optic will also fit the Glock 48 MOS pistol. As I try to update the list, I realize that I might miss a new product release. So feel free to leave details of anything not listed in the comments section below.
Before I get into the details of each optic, here's a table comparing the features and prices of the available options.
MSRP prices for Shield Sights models are estimates based on currency exchange and include UK VAT.
Riton Optics offers a ruggedly built compact red dot light for your slim Glock pistol. Called the X3 TACTIKS MPRD, this scope is made from a 6061-T6 aluminum housing and multi-coated lens. From a durability point of view, it is only surpassed by Swampfok Sentinel (move down).

The X3 TACTIKS MPRD is a fully manual scope with 10 levels of red dot brightness. Stages one and two are compatible with night vision, while the remaining brightness levels are compatible with the Mk1 eyeball in various lighting conditions. The automatic shut-off device starts after 12 hours.
Riton claims a 99.5% light transmission rate with its high-density glass and multi-layer coating. The lens coating is said to reduce reflections, improve low-light clarity and resist scratches.
The company has a simple guarantee: if it ever fails, send it back and Riton Optics will send you a new one. You don't need to register the product, you don't need any paperwork and you don't even need to be the original customer. The company aims to process all returns within 48 hours. It would be hard to beat that kind of service.
The suggested retail price of the fiber optic cable is $299.99. The sight is relatively new, so you have to buy it directly from Riton. When it hits the market, I'm sure we'll see discounts on this sight through regular retailers.
What Is The Best Optic For My Glock 43x Mos
Shield Sights is the longest running manufacturer of micro red dots for handguns like the Glock 43X. Currently, the company offers two basic types: RMSc and SMSc.
Built in England, the RMSc uses an aluminum housing with a polymer lens to display a central red dot. Shield Sights does not specify the type of aluminum it uses for the body.
Shield scopes use an anti-reflective coating on the lens to reduce glare when aiming the G43X. Polymer lenses are used in a number of reflex lenses and tend to reduce manufacturing costs. However, some say that the lenses are more prone to scratches.
You can buy this scope with 4 MOA or 8 MOA dot. For me, I prefer the 4 MOA, but the 8 MOA really jumps out at you. For close range defensive shots, a larger dot is not a bad choice, so choose what you think will work best for you.
Is The Glock 48 The New \
The shield does not recognize how many brightness levels the vision can use. Instead, the dot automatically adjusts to the lighting conditions.
Shield offers a 7-year warranty on the electronics at RMSc and a lifetime warranty on the remaining components.
Since Shield is an English company, buying directly from the company requires a currency conversion from US dollars to British pounds. Moreover, purchases will be subject to VAT or VAT. At the time of writing, the scope's recommended retail price is £300 ex VAT. After currency conversion and VAT added, the price is about $472.98 plus international shipping.
Another Shield product, this unit has a similar look but also some new features. The most obvious change is that the SMSc uses a polymer body instead of aluminum.
The Micro Roland
Shield also reworked the lens. Polymer lenses are now available with a special quartz hard coating for increased durability and scratch resistance. You can also completely replace the polymer lens with a glass lens.
As with the RMSc, the SMSc is continuously in view with automatically adjusted brightness. When mounted on a Glock pistol, the sensor measures ambient light and changes the relative brightness of the red dot.
The SMSc can be purchased with a 4 MOA or 8 MOA reticle. Enjoys the same 7 year/unlimited warranty as the RMSc.
With quartz-coated polymer lenses, the MSRP including VAT for the SMSc is $346.85. The glass lens upgrade will cost an additional $126.13 for a total of $472.98. By the way, it is the same price as RMSc.
Glock 43x: The Ultimate Concealed Carry Gun?
Alternatively, you can try to get it from a US retailer. However, currently, the only dealer that has them is Springfield Armory. The company's MSRP is $299, but they are out of stock with no expected restock date.
If you didn't already know, SIG SAUER is now an optics manufacturer. The company makes everything from rangefinders to high-powered binoculars. One of its more recent additions is the Romeo Zero RDS which fits Glock 43Xs and other slim pistols.
The Romeo Zero is produced with a polymer body and lens. This is easy - about 0.4 ounces according to the company's specifications.
For durability, I prefer a 6061 or 7075 aluminum body. However, polymer has proven to be a durable material for gun parts. Also, I prefer a glass lens. However, polymer is a proven optic material, so you should be fine with this scope unless you abuse it.

The SIG uses a motion activation system to trigger the red dot. The system seems to work well and I have no problem trusting it.
The spot brightness is manually controlled. With Romeo Zero you get 8 manually adjustable brightness levels. Two models are available: one with a 3 MOA dot and one with a larger 6 MOA dot.
One of the highlights of this sight is the price: $219. Online shopping brings the total cost down to less than $200 with free shipping. It's the best price on this list by quite a wide margin.
Reader Mike W. he emailed me about the compatibility of the Romeo Zero with the G43X MOS. He said the mounting screws that come with the scope are too long for the Glock pistol. This mirrors a problem I discovered when trying to mount a Romeo Zero on a Springfield Armory Hellcat.
Concealed Carry Comparison: Glock 43x Vs 48
I'm trying to find a set of screws. I've been told that these M4-0.70x8mm flathead screws are a good replacement, but I haven't confirmed that yet.
If you are running the Romeo Zero on the Glock 43X MOS, can you tell us what modifications or other screws you had to use?
The Sentinel is tough and built to take a beating. Swampfok machines the body from 7075-T6 aluminum – the same hardened metal used in forged AR lowers.
For the lens, Swampfok uses optical glass that is multi-coated to resist fog, water, mud and scratches.

What's more, the Sentinel is the only sight on this list with an IP rating: the standard rating system for measuring water and dust entering electronics and other devices.
The Sentinel is IPX7 rated. This means it can dive up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. No other optic offers anything like this.
Swampfok offers RDS in two versions: one is fully manual with 10 brightness levels, while the other is a stable version with infinitely adjustable automatic brightness. I have the automatic version and it works exactly as advertised.
The light sensor samples ambient lighting and adjusts the 3 MOA red dot almost instantly. In actual use, I found it to work perfectly.
The Glock 43x: Perfect Efficiency
Swampfox offers a 50k traffic guarantee on Sentinel. In other words, if you have a problem with it during the first 50,000 rounds, they'll fix it. If you fire 1,000 rounds a year, you'll have the company's support for the next 50 years. However, I bet the company would be willing to reinforce any flaws in its production, regardless of the number of rounds.
Due to the incredible popularity of Sentinel, sights sell out quickly. However, they are available here at a discount.
